Our Story

About Theralight

We discovered light therapy 2 years ago and began using it in our home. It has greatly blessed our family. When we found the Theralight red light therapy bed we knew we wanted to bring it to the Basin so members of our community could experience the benefits of red light therapy close to home. 

Theralight Red light therapy beds have been around since 2018. The bed currently is FDA approved. It offers 4 different wavelengths of red and infrared light to help with varying tissues from skin to deeper tissues in the body. It is the most advanced red light therapy currently on the market today.

What is Red Light Therapy?

Red light therapy is the application of specific wavelengths of red and infrared light that stimulates the mitochondria of the cell. It does this by displacing Nitric Oxide from a protein called cytochrome c oxidase. This then allows oxygen to bind increasing the levels of ATP or energy production in the cell. By increasing the level of energy the cells are then able to function more efficiently.

Red light therapy can help a wide variety of conditions from pain and inflammation to stress and mood enhancement and more. By increasing the metabolism (aerobic) of the cell it can aid cells in healing whether this is pushing out inflammation1 or pushing out toxins. Red light therapy helps the cells in its own natural healing process. Thus, stimulating your body to heal and function better.

Are there Side Effects?

Red light therapy itself has no negative side effects. Occasionally during the first couple of weeks of therapy some may experience a process called retracing. This is the body breaking down barriers and getting rid of toxins in the body. This can cause some discomfort but will go away over the course of a month.
